Our Story: Capturing the Heart of Cape Breton

Cape Life comes from a real love of Cape Breton, her music, her creativity, and ’d way she gets into yis wit’out askin’. Everything we make is inspired by her culture and ’d people who call her home.  Goal’s simple enough: make gear dat feels like Cape Breton and makes sense to anyone who holds her close, whether yis’re from here or just wish yis were.

Cape Life started out as a family thing. Just a couple kids from Cape Breton who grew up, made some music, and started makin’ gear at home to honour ’d island and ’d people who shaped us. What started small turned into somethin’ bigger ... a brand locals can stand behind, and one Cape Breton lovers everywhere can wear wit’ pride.

We build everything around ’d music, creativity, and hard work dat’s always been part of Cape Breton, along wit’ ’d rough-around-’d-edges beauty dat inspires it all. ’D designs tip ’d cap to ’d work we do, ’d laughs we share, and ’d way of life dat makes her what she is.
